I’ve been writing instrumental music since the 1970s. It all started with the occasional “can you put together a part for flute/clarinet/violin… for this hymn?” things, and moved into small ensembles. I even had the privilege of creating an orchestration for a song I wrote, once. And since I started writing for handbells, it’s been one adventure after another!

The music here is divided into broad categories. “Ring” is handbell music, and “Sing” is choral/vocal ensemble music. This part of the site, “Play”, is music that is generally instrumental, i.e. doesn’t fit in the other two areas.

Happy (Piano solo)

We received a request to make a solo piano version of Happy, the 1920s-styled Low Ding Zone original handbell piece, and so now we have a new score for you to enjoy! Oh… please note that it’s not to be confused with the Pharrell Williams song from a few years back… Price: handbell choir–>.

Tigress Rag (Solo Piano)

“Tigress Rag”, written in the style of Scott Joplin, was the Second Place Winner of the 2011 Bells of the Sound “All That Jazz” composition contest. It’s dedicated to Larry’s wife Carla, and this is the piano solo version of the handbell score. Price:
