What’s better than buying a bunch of eight-bell scores from Choraegus? Buying an eight-bell collection from Choraegus, of course! The reason is that the collection is priced so you get one piece for free. Now, we admit that you’d usually want to be able to use all of them – but if there’s a piece that’s unfamiliar, perhaps it’ll give you a new performance item.
Our collections are clusters of pieces that are related. Our “Surprisingly Easy”™ collections are, by far, the most popular. If you have two, three, or four ringers and need something that will come together reasonably quickly – and which sounds like it’s more than something overly simple – these easier collections are for you!
There are a few “standard” (meaning not-completely-easy) collections that contain more interesting scores. Those work nicely, especially if you’ve accumulated some experience with eight-bell music. If you’re looking for something that will challenge you moderately (YMMV), these are for you!
Finally, we have some collections that we’ve jokingly referred to as “surprisingly difficult”. Those are our Nutcracker collection and our jig collection. More than a decade after we arranged them, we find that these pieces tricky (but fun, too).
