Joe’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime musicians who makes everything look easy. As some friends have observed, the only time you hear him play what’s on the score is when he’s sight reading… after that point (or even before!), he begins improving it using his tremendous musical perception.

Joe is a true minister for the Lord, and I’ve been blessed by having him as an accompanist, musical associate, and friend. I hope you, too, have someone who takes this position in your life!

Just as I was about to publish this song: It occurred to me that it would have been even more appropriate to make this the 88th LWCP song (because, of course, one of Joe’s primary instruments is piano – the other is stringed bass, and he’s phenomenal at that too – because of its 88 keys). Oh well, them’s the breaks…

All things are possible to the One who made the universe,
All truth is in the grasp of God above,
All pow’r is His to use to accomplish His perfect works,
All grace is manifested through His sacrifice of love.

Wisdom perfuses His character, He is God who cannot lie,
He alone has ability, our lives to sanctify,
His is infinite purity, He is holy God above,
He alone can make us righteous through Jesus’ love.

There is nothing He does not know, His is intellect sublime,
Yet He cares for His children, though their sins extend through time.
There is nowhere He cannot be, all our faults He knows full well,
Though He stands Eternal Judge, His grace conquers hell!

As Creator of everything, He possesses and controls,
Yet He wants us close to Him, sharing fellowship of souls,
Filled with transcendent majesty, He deserves all rev’rent fear,
But condescends to our estate, to draw us near.
