Barb is a friend who’s seen God allowing some very difficult things in her life, and also has seen Him working through them to cause her to grow in her faith. It truly has been a privilege to watch Him doing all this because I’ve had the opportunity to learn a little bit from afar.

Barb’s joy and faith continue to shine through the pain! The big question for her is not whether the trials will end – it’s merely wondering when that resolution will happen. After all, the Lord promises us a time in the future when He will say,

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He shall dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be among them, and He shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there shall be no longer any death; there shall no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain;…” [Revelation 21:3-4]

Barb, thanks for being such an example – and such a friend – it’s an honor to write this song for you!
